Employment Opportunities at The Mortgage Network

Loan Officer:

Requirements:  Must have a minimum of 2 years full time experience as a Loan Officer, be capable of generating his/her own business and processing it or supervising a loan processor to do so. 

Employment Contract:  The Loan Officer signs an Employment Contract as a full time employee of The Mortgage Network and agrees to submit ALL loans thru the company.  Normal income and FICA taxes are deducted from gross commissions.  These arrangements fully comply with both HUD and IRS requirements.  Commissions are paid weekly. 

Compensation:  From the total check received at closing, 7% is deducted to cover the company's tax costs, then $600 is deducted for the company's share and the balance is paid to the Loan Officer. 

      Example:  On a $4000 proceeds check  less 7% = $280, less $600 =
                           a net for the Loan Officer of $3120. 

Costs: The Loan Officer will pay for all direct expenses associated with the transaction which have not been paid for by theborrower, such as credit reports, appraisals, etc.. The Loan Officer is responsible for his/her marketing and advertising expenses.  The company offers a variety of chargeable services including Pre-Qualification Telephone Service 7 days a week for Loan Officer's realtors and Borrowers, Credit Reports, Advertising Materials, etc.  Each of these services is optional and only charged if ordered by the Loan Officer.

Loan Processor:  Requires a minimum of 2 years experience processing fha, va and conventional loans.  Processor receives the loan package from a Loan Officer and relates directly with theborrower to obtain whatever information is necessary to obtain loan approval.  The Loan Officer will assist, if you prefer, in selecting the investor and negotiating the price with theborrower prior to underwriting submission.  Compensation is $250 to $400 per closed loan, paid within 7 days after collection of funds. 

Loan Counselor: A Loan Counselor is an experienced Loan Processor who has the people skills and knowledge necessary to meet with borrowers and complete the loan application; thereafter to process the loan and handle all aspects thru closing.  Compensation is based on gross earnings per loan and generally averages above $400 to $1000 per closed loan; on sub-par loans, can be considerably higher.  Paid within 7 days after collection of funds.
